So you want an OutRighteous Website for your church? Here's how to get started. 

Step 1: Get familiar (15-30 minutes)

We've spent hundreds of hours developing a system that enables churches to keep their websites up to date with ease and speed. However, as with any website, planning and continual time and effort are required to maintain and keep it up to date.

Before we start working with you we ask that you spend 15-30 minutes watching a few basic tutorials and trying out the demo website so you get an idea of how you'll maintain your website on a weekly basis. We're confident you'll find them easy to understand and use. The demo website is reset every day so feel free to play around with it!

Step 2: Send us your statement of faith (1-2 minutes)

As a ministry the only requirement for our service is that your beliefs are in line the teachings of Jesus Christ as it is written in the Bible. The quickest way to kick things off is to include your statement of faith with your initial email to us.

Step 3: Provide website details (5-15 minutes)

Once we verify your statement of faith the next step is to begin working with you to design your website. If you're not sure exactly what you want, we recommend you look at some existing OutRighteous Websites for ideas. If you already have a design, or like your existing websites design we can most likely use whatever you have available.

Be prepared to provide the following information (feel free to include it with your initial email!):

  • Domain name(s)
  •  Any existing website information (web address, likes, dislikes, etc.)
  • List of desired email addresses
  • Basic site outline (top level pages, subpages, etc.)
  • High-quality digital copy of logo
  • Sites you like (for design inspiration)
  • Homepage design ideas
  • Photos and any other design material

Once we have received everything we will let you know when to expect your initial design to be ready for review and approval.

Step 4: Approve design (varies)

Usually approving a design requires some back and forth correspondence as the details are ironed out. If you can be available on the day we're working on your design this can speed up the process. We will inform you ahead of time when we will have designs available for review.

Upon design approval we will let you know when to expect the rest of the website development to be complete for you to begin populating with content.

Step 5: Populate website with content (4-8 hours to start, then ongoing maintenance)

  1. Watch the basic editing tutorials
  2. Populate the homepage and top level pages
  3. Create and populate sub pages
  4. Add photos and images
  5. Watch the advanced tutorials
  6. Incorporate advanced features (sermon podcasts, calendar of events, videos, online donations, etc.)
